GoodWe, a global leader in solar solutions, has concluded its SMT30kW inverter donation and the "Green Genius Challenge" campaign at The AIMS School & College in Islamabad, Pakistan. These events, held on Jan 27th, not only underline GoodWe's dedication to improving energy accessibility in remote regions but also align with the goal of GoodWe’s “EcoSmart Kids” campaign, which aims at empowering young minds across the world to actively engage with environmental sustainability.
Established with a primary mission to make education more accessible in Pakistan, the school faces challenges posed by the rising electricity costs. GoodWe’s donation of the SMT30kW inverter to AIMS School & College contributes to redirecting these funds towards student welfare and education, alleviating the burden of energy bills.
Crafted for commercial rooftop system solutions, the SMT Series boasts a maximum efficiency of 98.8%. It guarantees an early generation of power and extended working time, maximizing long-term returns and profitability within secure operating conditions.
As part of the event, GoodWe and the AIMs School and College co-organized the “Green Genius” Competition, as another stop of GoodWe’s EcoSmart Kids project. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students in Grades 6-8, showcasing their creativity in projects ranging from innovative methods of electricity production to water captivating animations.
A distinguished panel of judges, including Ahmad Rafay Asad, Head of Operations & Technical Services at GoodWe, Fahad Ali, Country Manager of GoodWe, and Syed Owais Ali, a Solar System Consultant and Environmental Activist, along with the revered CraftsWomen owner, Ramma Jafri, provided valuable expertise, ensuring a fair evaluation of each student's project.
The competition yielded remarkable results, with three students winning the championship for their innovative project on "Electricity Production through Water" in Grade 7. Second and Third Prize winners focused on solar energy, with three students earning the Second Prize for their captivating "Solar Energy Animation" in Grade 6, and the other three recognized for their insightful project on the "Solar System Operations" in Grade 8.
Principal Mr. Syed Imtiaz Ali Rizvi extended special thanks to the Country Manager and Technical Manager of GoodWe, highlighting the value of collaboration between AIMS and GoodWe.
Ahmad Rafay Asad commented: “We are honored to be part of this incredible program. This donation initiative not only addresses the immediate energy needs of the school but also aligns with GoodWe's broader commitment to sustainability and community empowerment. ”
Fahad Ali commented: “Congratulations to all the students who participated! Your incredible ideas and creativity really impressed us. The Green Genius Challenge was a big win for raising environmental awareness among young people and showcasing GoodWe's commitment to supporting the local community.
