Recap of GoodWeek 2025: Insights on the Future of Solar, Energy Storage, and Emerging Opportunities

GoodWe's annual online webinar, GoodWeek 2025, concluded successfully on March 21. Under the theme of "Unlocking Solar Potential," this one-week event featured five sessions, including those focused on Europe, Asia, the Middle East & Africa, South America (Spanish session), and Brazil (Portuguese session). It brought together 17 strategic partners to discuss the latest market trends, policy developments, and technological advancements in solar and energy storage.


GoodWeek 2025 attracted a record-breaking 5,200 participants from 84 countries and regions, generating more than 180,000 interactions. This dynamic exchange of insights reaffirmed GoodWe's commitment to driving innovation and shaping a smarter, more efficient, and sustainable global energy future.


Regional Highlights

Middle East and Africa (MEA) Session – March 17, 2025

In Africa, grid instability and frequent load shedding are fueling the demand for solar+storage solutions, offering a cost-effective alternative to diesel. The adoption of batteries and evolving storage technologies are making energy independence more achievable. Meanwhile, the Middle East, with its abundant sunlight and high electricity costs, is accelerating solar adoption. This session discussed the current market trends, challenges, and opportunities in both regions, highlighting how GoodWe’s hybrid inverters and battery storage solutions provide backup power, grid independence, and enhanced efficiency, shaping the future of sustainable energy in the region.

Europe Session – March 18, 2025

Europe’s C&I energy storage market is experiencing rapid growth, presenting new challenges and opportunities. “C&I Storage is a game-changer. Customer needs differ, but GoodWe is ready,” as highlighted by a GoodWe speaker during the sharing.

The session looked into key trends such as self-consumption, peak-shaving, backup power, grid service, and more, showcasing how GoodWe’s C&I storage solutions are tailored to meet the diverse needs of various business applications. Energy security was emphasized as a critical concept in the discussion. 

Further topics covered technological aspects, including cooling systems designed for different C&I storage systems, and introduced GoodWe’s upcoming product offering that prioritizes performance safety while integrating future-ready solutions. Presented by a partner, the session also delved into the evolving role of energy management systems in C&I storage. The session was concluded by presentation of GoodWe’s latest updates on its BIPV offer.

South America (SAM) Session – March 19, 2025

South America is witnessing rapid solar growth, with countries like Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, and Brazil leading the way. High solar irradiance, government support, and the push for energy independence are driving solar+storage adoption, despite challenges such as regulatory barriers, financing issues, and grid integration. This session examined the emerging market trends in South America and how GoodWe’s C&I storage solutions help businesses optimize energy use, reduce grid reliance, and lower costs. The session also focused on safety, with GoodWe’s AFCI technology preventing arc faults, ensuring compliance with international standards, and enhancing system reliability.

Brazil Session – March 20, 2025

Brazil’s solar market is at a pivotal point, with substantial growth potential driven by favorable solar conditions and the country’s renewable energy goals. However, challenges like infrastructure, regulation, and economic factors need to be addressed. This session covered the market outlook, trends, and challenges in Brazil’s solar industry, including the benefits of on-grid systems such as energy reliability, backup support, improved power quality, and time-of-use management to reduce peak consumption. It also highlighted the importance of maximizing self-consumption and minimizing grid exportation. The session also introduced the critical safety feature of rapid shutdown, ensuring quick deactivation of solar panels during emergencies, as required by NBR 17193:2025. GoodWe’s RSD 2.0 and Micro Inverter solutions were also featured for their role in enhancing system performance, reliability, and safety.

Asia Session – March 21, 2025

Asia continues to lead global solar energy innovation, with GoodWe at the forefront. This session highlighted key market drivers, including rising electricity prices, strong policy support, corporate sustainability goals, and the growing need for energy security in Southeast Asia. The session also explored emerging trends, such as the rise of C&I rooftop solar in Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia, and the expansion of behind-the-meter (BTM) storage for peak shaving in Singapore, Vietnam, and the Philippines. AI-powered Virtual Power Plants (VPPs) and innovative Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) models were also discussed as new solutions for businesses to reduce costs while accessing clean energy. GoodWe’s customizable solutions for diverse needs, such as the GT Series and SMT Series, were featured, showcasing advanced safety features like AFCI 3.0 and excellent heat dissipation. The session also covered GoodWe’s hybrid solutions, providing flexible, reliable, and cost-effective energy options.
