On June 13, the 2025 ESG and High-Quality Development Innovation Forum, organized by Times Media Group, was successfully held in Beijing. At the event, GoodWe joined 12 other leading companies in launching the Supply Chain ESG Stewardship Initiative (SCSI). Dr.Kenan Zhang, Director of GoodWe’s Sustainable Development Research Institute, attended the launch ceremony.
The ‘Supply Chain ESG Stewardship Initiative (SCSI)' is aligned with the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Leveraging environmental friendliness, social responsibility, and effective governance as its foundation, the initiative fosters a more sustainable, resilient, and competitive supply chain ecosystem, jointly creating a mutually beneficial global framework for sustainable development.
Our goal is to establish a comprehensive and scientifically robust supply chain ESG evaluation framework. This will address the inefficiency of duplicate audits caused by varying standards, streamline auditing processes for higher efficiency and compatibility, and catalyse innovative linkages between supply chain ESG performance and financial mechanisms. Ultimately, this helps companies integrate more deeply into global value chains and accelerates the achievement of global sustainable development objectives.
The 13 founding members include: GoodWe, Inovance, JA Solar, Joyson, Midea, Mengniu, NaaS, Tianqi, Tongwei, NIO, XPeng, ENN, and Zangge Mining.
"The launch of the SCSI marks a turning point, as leading Chinese enterprises take a more active role in shaping ESG standards. Through robust audit systems and management capabilities, GoodWe empowers partners and drives sustainable growth across the value chain." said Dr.Zhang.
As one of the earliest Chinese inverter manufacturers to expand globally, GoodWe has embedded globalization and sustainability into its corporate DNA. The company now deliver its energy solutions in over 100 countries and regions, with a deep understanding of cross-border compliance challenges and is committed to building a responsible, transparent, and future-ready supply chain.
