GoodWe, a global leader in solar PV and energy storage solutions, has officially launched the fourth generation of its single-phase on-grid inverters, DNS G4 and MS G4, featuring lighter weight, whisper-quiet operation, enhanced safety, and easier transportation and installation. Notably, parallel connection is supported between the two inverter models. As the latest additions to their respective series, the DNS and MS G4 offer homeowners a more powerful, flexible, and user-friendly solution for residential solar applications.
The DNS G4, available in 3-6kW, includes two MPPTs, while the MS G4, ranging from 7.5-10kW, adopts up to three MPPTs to accommodate more complex rooftop orientations and shading conditions. Both inverters support a high input current of 20A per MPPT, making them ideal for modern high-power PV modules 182/210mm. With up to 200% PV array oversizing, they offer excellent rooftop utilization and optimized energy yields.
The DNS G4 and MS G4 continue to offer the wide voltage range and low startup voltage of 50V that characterized previous generations, ensuring stable energy generation across a broader range of solar conditions.
With a compact design, both inverters are lighter than their predecessors, with the DNS G4 being notably 31% lighter, simplifying handling and installation. Meanwhile, they are ideal for quiet settings, with operating noise levels under 25dB for DNS G4 and under 30dB for MS G4, ensuring minimal disruption to the home environment.
Safety remains a top priority. The inverters feature AI-powered AFCI 3.0 technology for precise and responsive arc-fault detection, reducing the risk of fire hazards. They offer GoodWe Rapid Shutdown 2.0 solution, with an optional built-in transmitter that simplifies compliance by eliminating the need for additional external components. Both models are also equipped with Type II surge protection on AC and DC sides, and maintain IP66-rated protection for reliability.
For users with high power demand, both models support parallel connection of up to ten units through GoodWe’s Ezlink smart dongle. Notably, DNS G4 and MS G4 can be used together in mixed parallel configurations, giving installers flexibility to tailor solutions to different customer needs.
The Ezlink also functions as the communication device for energy monitoring, allowing users to centrally monitor the power generation data of all connected inverters via GoodWe's SEMS+ Portal app. Additionally, when paired with compatible monitoring accessories, the inverter enables 24-hour load consumption monitoring with the optional Power Supply at Night function.
